We have been with Canadians in the fight for life for 75 years. Officially incorporated on March 28, 1938, the Society – originally called the Society for the Control of Cancer – was established to increase public awareness about the warning signs of cancer.
Since our creation, we've been relentless in our commitment to fund research and support Canadians touched by cancer. These efforts, combined with our tireless work in prevention and early detection, are the foundation for a future where fewer Canadians are touched by cancer and more survive.
The Canadian Cancer Society funds more research into more types of cancer than any other national charity in Canada. Learn more about the exciting research we are currently funding.
